Hi, my name is Whitney and I am a cruise professional;)

Okay, okay... the only thing I'm a professional at is procrastinating 🤣

Jk. I also proudly proclaim myself a professional cheerleader too, but my friends say "you know that's an actual thing right?".... they just don't know I literally cheer people on in business and life basically all day everyday! HA!

Anyway 😘

Tim and I just got back from our most recent cruise- right after getting back from Maui, which is why I'm so late to posting this.... I have major vacay hangover. lol!
We cruised out of Port Canaveral on Carnival Breeze and it was fantastic! The ship was gorgeous, the staff was so friendly and the food was some of the best I've ever had! All in all, I'd rate it as one of my top 2 cruises!

Here are some things you should know when you cruise with Carnival...
  • Make it a point to order room service at least once. Order before 10pm or it's not free. I suggest ordering a BLT and piece of New York Cheesecake! I've made it a tradition since my first cruise when I was 16, passed down by my mamaw, and it's something I look forward to every. single. time!
  • Don't be afraid to go all out for formal night. I'm talking beautiful gowns and tuxedos! Don't forget to get your picture taken at every set up they have that night! It's free to get your pictures taken and you can choose to buy them or not at the end! I usually opt for the picture package.. it's a bit cheaper!
  • Besides dinner dresses (if you choose to go to every dinner in the dining room) all you need to pack as far as clothes is a swimsuit and coverups. Trust me, save the room in your suitcase for souvenirs from the ports!
  • TRY the scary looking thing on the dinner menu!!! It's free so why not?! I mean, really... when is the next time you're going to have the opportunity to try ox tongue? Speaking of ordering at dinner... the Carnival Molten Chocolate Cake is legit the best dessert ever and you might book another cruise just to get them again!
  • This is super important. If you get motion sickness, take a preventative. Take more than one. Pack several. I suggest taking two in case one doesn't help. For example, dramamine does nothing for me. N O T H I N G. So I always pack a whole box of ear patches. I've also heard great things about the sea bands, but have never tried them. Even if you don't think you'll get seasick, I strongly suggest taking an ear patch and dramamine.. something. Better safe then sorry.
Be on the lookout for more cruise tips, packing tips, port tips and more in the future! And as always, let me know if you find anything helpful or have questions!
